Duties: |
This person will coordinate with the Principal, Secretary and School Board in all aspects of school financial management and record keeping.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
Represent the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Guam-Micronesia Mission, and school administration in all interactions whether in person, on the phone, or by emails.
Keep financial records organized and updated using the GMM selected database, as needed.
Produce, and maintain careful, timely records and reports of all students and staff of the school, using the designated NAD/GMM-selected databases.
Prepare reports and reconcile bank statements
Ensure that statements and records comply with laws and regulations.
Prepare budget, cost control, evaluation of employees' performance, Prevention of errors and frauds.
Monitor, record and remit all monetary collections to the Bank and GMM.
Assist the principal in preparing the school budget.
Audit Expense Reports
Prepare and submit various reports to the local School Board, Governments and GMM as scheduled.
Assist the principal in the inspection and maintenance of the physical plant, supplies, facilities, and housekeeping.
Maintain a presence in the office during the scheduled office hours.
Meet schedules, dress codes, and other guidelines, as informed
Undertake such extra-¬curricular activities and supervisory duties as administration may assign.
By precept and example the employee will seek to uphold Christ as Friend and Lord and will endeavor to lead students to a similar understanding, displaying Christ-like manners and attitude when working with students, parents, donors, fellow employees, local businesses, or employees of other GMM entities regarding financial matters.
Encourage proper control of the students’ behavior in the office, school grounds and premises in accordance with the rules and regulations stipulated in the Handbook.
Maintain neatness and cleanliness in the office and school grounds; be willing to assist with janitorial work in and around the office and undertake supervisory duties as requested.
Attend regular staff meetings as scheduled and other meetings and events even after school; join in‐service sessions and workshops in order to maintain or increase his/her level of skills.
Undertake any other duties and responsibilities considered as part of normal load working in harmony with school programs and activities outlined in the Staff Handbook/Bulletin, and other directives set forth by the Board and administration.
Regularly attend weekend services and will assist in church programs according to talents and abilities. (Sabbath School classes for all ages that need leaders and assistants, Pathfinder club, youth meetings during the week, door-to-door, prison ministry, etc. The ministries that can be joined are extensive and many more could be led by you!)
