Duties:     The Office Secretary will assist the Principal and School Board in all aspects of office management and record keeping. Assist the Registrar to process and maintain updated student and staff records. Perform other clerical office duties as assigned by the Principal.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. To assist the principal in his/her duties as requested.
2. Represent the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Guam-Micronesia Mission, and school administration in all interactions whether in person, on the phone, or by emails.
3. Assist in the production and maintenance of timely records and reports of all students and staff of the school, using the designated NAD/GMM-selected databases.
4. Assist to Prepare and submit requested reports to the local School Board, government, and GMM by the required deadlines.
5. Maintain a presence in the office during the scheduled office hours.
6. Meet schedules, dress codes, and other guidelines, as informed.
7. Substitute/assist in other areas as requested by the principal.
8. Assist to Oversee the campus-wide standardized testing schedule and prepare testing materials for processing in a timely manner
9. Undertake such extra-¬curricular activities and supervisory duties as administration may assign.
10. By precept and example, seek to uphold Christ as Friend and Lord and endeavour to lead students to a similar understanding, displaying Christ-like manners and attitude when working with students, parents, donors, fellow employees, local businesses, or employees of other GMM entities.
11. Encourage proper control of the students’ behaviour in the office, school grounds and premises in accordance with the rules and regulations stipulated in the Handbook.
12. Maintain neatness and cleanliness in the office and school grounds and be willing to assist with janitorial work in and around the office and undertake supervisory duties as requested.
13. Attend regular staff meetings as scheduled and other meetings and events even after school; join in‐service sessions and workshops in order to maintain or increase his/her level of skills.
14.Undertake any other duties and responsibilities considered as part of normal load, working in harmony with school programs and activities outlined in the Staff Handbook/Bulletin, and other directives set forth by the Board and administration.
15. Regularly attend weekend services and assist in church programs according to talents and abilities. (Sabbath School classes for all ages that need leaders and assistants, Pathfinder club, youth meetings during the week, door-to-door, prison ministry, etc. The ministries that can be joined are extensive and many more could be led by you!)

Acceptable Dress: Men work in long pants (no jeans) and may wear shorts off campus or after school. Women must always wear loose fitting skirts and dresses past the knee when going off campus or "in public" on campus. Women may wear modest shorts, slacks or pants only on campus in the evening or when exercising.
Unacceptable Dress:  Women - Tight and/or short shorts are never acceptable, nor sleeveless or sheer blouses or dresses, including tank tops. A conservative hairstyle is preferred for men and women. Please refrain from bringing or wearing jewelry.

Yap is the westernmost of the 4 Island states comprising the Federated States of Micronesia. Although Yap State includes many Islands stretched across hundreds of miles, our school is located on the same Island as the capital city of Colonia. Our large, peaceful campus overlooks a beautiful valley and inlet. Campus buildings are separated by school level and purpose. Important Orientation Information: This year, Guam Micronesia Mission is tentatively planning to host the SM orientation in Guam during the week of July 25th to the 29th, 2022. We will encourage all student missionaries to plan around that week. Final detailed activities of that week will be provided later. Most likely, all student missionaries will begin traveling to their designated schools Sunday and Monday, July 31st and August 1st, 2022. ***For volunteers from divisions other than NAD, please work with your Division Volunteer Coordinator regarding important ticketing information with MTS Travel. The Division Volunteer Coordinator contacts your respective GC coordinator for further information. Pay special attention to the visa information.
