Job Description - Accountant
The Accountant will coordinate with the Principal, Registrar, Secretary and School Board in all aspects of school financial management and recordkeeping. The accountant processes and maintains updated financial records, collections and disbursements of the School.
His/Her responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
1 To assist the principal in the inspection and maintenance of the physical plant, supplies, facilities, and housekeeping.
2 Produce and maintain careful, timely records and reports of all financial incomes, expenses, budgets, accounts, etc. of the school, using the GMM-selected database, as needed..
3 Audit expense reports.
4 Assist the principal in preparing the school budget.
5 Monitor, record and remit all monetary collections to the Bank and GMM.
6 Prepare and submit various reports to the local School Board, Governments and GMM as scheduled.
7 Undertake such extra-¬curricular activities and supervisory duties as administration may assign.
8 By precept and example the employee will seek to uphold Christ as Friend and Lord and will endeavor to lead students to a similar understanding, displaying Christ-like manners and attitude when working with students, parents, donors, fellow employees, local businesses, or employees of other GMM entities regarding financial matters.
9 Encourage proper control of the students’ behavior in the office, school grounds and premises in accordance with the rules and regulations stipulated in the Handbook.
10 Maintain neatness and cleanliness in the office and school grounds; be willing to assist with janitorial work in and around the office and undertake supervisory duties as requested.
11 Attend regular staff meetings as scheduled and other meetings and events even after school; join in‐service sessions and workshops in order to maintain or increase his/her level of skills.
12 Undertake any other duties and responsibilities considered as part of normal load working in harmony with school programs and activities outlined in the Staff Handbook/Bulletin, and other directives set forth by the Board and administration.
13 Regularly attend weekend services and will assist in church programs according to talents and abilities. (Sabbath School classes for all ages that need leaders and assistants, Pathfinder club, youth meetings during the week, door-to-door, prison ministry,…the ministries that can be joined in are extensive and many more could be led by you!) |
